Drama.
Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? Frank Alvin, from childhood up, as well as his mother, has yielded to the whims of his spoiled sister, Lillian. The money intended for the education of both was diverted and lavished upon the sister, while the brother remained to drudge throughout the hard years in the village store. In the interim, the girl is sent to an eastern seminary, thence to a fashionable girls’ college, and finally returns, the finishing product of education, ready for social conquest, but is disconsolate over the thought of dwelling in the pokey, slow, old town. The brother gives up his slowly accumulated savings to provide for a pretty home, but this does not satisfy her cravings, and she grows more and more exacting. She goes further, and steps between him and his sweetheart. It is then that all the man arouses in him and he bitterly reproves his sister for the selfishness of her life. Fate, however, takes a hand, and the Judge, whose daughter was betrothed to Frank, accidentally happens to overhear this talk between brother and sister, and believing to the justice of the man, so adroitly manipulates in his favor that he comes out victorious. How happiness was accrued for all concerned, is told in the film.
